MacKenzie-Childs Tea Pot

Happy Monday ! Are you like me and  love to have a pretty tea  kettle on the stove?
I had been wanting a MacKenzie-Childs tea pot for so long, and when my birthday rolled along in March, Gary asked me what I would like. I of course answered I'm not sure, I don't need anything..
But,  while shopping one day we ran into a beautiful shop that sold MacKenzie Childs, and to my delight the tea pot of my dreams gleamed from across the store right at me..., I ran over to this sweet Flower Market Blue kettle as fast as my little 4'11 body could run,  OH yes I did ! .... and said with a big smile " Gary this is want I want for my birthday"

And here she sits all day long every day. I even bring out a few of my three footed tea cups every now and then to serve tea.
Many of you know my love for three legged teacups, I have been collecting them for years.

So tell me what stays on your stove all day every day?.

Hope this week brings you joy!
Elizabeth

  3. Dearest Elisabeth,
No, we don't have a tea kettle anymore. We have an electric tea kettle on the site, one from Europe that is plugged into the 240 volt outlet that I have as well. That way I still can use the European kitchen gadgets and we for years have the microwave plugged in, that we bought for and used in Italy.
But I have tea right now! Pieter always makes us a cup as he comes inside after a couple of hours working in the heat. A shower, followed by tea is a blessing!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  6. That's a beautiful tea pot Elizabeth! My colors too and it would look so pretty sitting on my range too. Hee, Hee! I love that glass knob too. I put my few tea pots on our built in unit in our family room. I need to share that on my blog one of these days. In all the years I've been collecting tea cups I have never heard of or seen three legged ones. Those are so cute. I did managed to hang my tea cups in our dining room. All fit into the shelf unit except for the Royal Albert set of five I bought in Canada on our trip to Alaska. Last night hubby's brother, his wife and son came over and emptied our last storage unit and bought everything back to our home and carried all the boxes and stuff into the house for us. So everything has finally been moved into our new home. More stuff to unpack and try to find a place for...my thimble collections, more knick knacks, vases (errrr..) and all our photos. I'm putting pops of red in our home with blues as the base color. And throwing in some yellow too. You will have so much fun decorating your new home and I hope you show it to us. Those beautiful quilts of yours and your designer taste will create another lovely home for you and Gary.

  9. that is such a beautiful tea kettle! McKenzie childs knows how to make pretty dishes. My mom has the black and white McKenzie tea kettle on her stove. I love the crystal knob on yours. I've never seen tea cups with feet like that either. So cute!

  10. I LOVE your little tea pot AND your NEW NEW home! Those shutters could not be any more perfect! Great job, as always!

As for what I have on my stove...we have a glass cook top so I don't usually have anything on it. When I burn a candle, I put it on the cook top. (I am afraid of burning candles in the home and this is a good place for it).

    Sending big big hugs!!!!!!
