~3 Legged Tea Cups Part One~

One of my passions is collecting tea cups and tea pots, but my most favorite tea cup to collect is the  three legged tea cup. They are just so sweet and have such a charm about them.
My sister Margo and I have been collecting them together (its a sister thing) Margo's collection is so pretty, and they are different than mine.
We often go antiquing together and its always so fun to see who will spot the first three legged tea cup.
Many times we will go antiquing with our Mom and Dad and you know who usual will spot the first three legged tea cup..Yep its Dad!
Gary and I stopped by an estate sale a few weeks ago and he found one three legged tea cup for me..its always so exciting to find one, its like finding gold..well to us girls who love tea cups that is.
Since this post will be photo heavy I will show you my sweet little tea cups in two posts.
I recently meant Tracie from Fishtail Cottage, she also loves  three legged tea cup like me. I told Tracie I would post them for her to see, so Tracie this post is for you.

Stay tuned for part two of  the three legged tea cup post.
Enjoy your week  and know I'll be thinking of you all until we visit again.

I have linked up with Sandi from Rose Chintz Cottage for her Tea Time Tuesday. Please stop over at Sandi's and see all the lovely tea cups.

  20. Wow, girl you DO have some tea-cups! I like them, too, but I don't think I have any with 3 legs. I'll have to be watching for some now! I think my favorite is the one with the pansies - I love pansies!

  27. I didn't know there were so many three legged cups. I have one lone cup without a saucer. My philosphy is that if you have one of something, that is a collection! The hunt begins!!!

  30. Your collection is stunning... I have afew, three footed cups but never knew there were so may varieties...and you have them displayed so beautifully ... Funnily enough, my passion is teacups and teapots too... I wonder what that means...that we like to drink tea or serve it or that we once 'teapots' in another life ( Ha Ha) ... Lovely post, Elizabeth xoxox

  31. Hi Elizabeth. Have you ever come across another of the pink and gold tea cups that appear second in your list here? I dropped my saucer today and it smashed to smithereens. Love to hear if you've found a place I can order another.

    With thanks from another three-footed-tea-cup-lover,

    Julie (in Ottawa, Ontario)

  32. What an amazing collection! Reminds me of my mommy, too! I love GG's gloves! Never saw those before! What a treasure from your Grandma! She was a proper lady!

    Love you!

  33. Loved these! I've been looking for 40 years for a cup like the one of my grandmother's that got broken by a stray cat jumping in the window of my bedroom (there was no screen and the duplex backed up onto an alleyway). It was shaped much like your #14 and 15, but with pink floral top and a gold crosshatch design on the bottom, and the crosshatch on the rim of the saucer. I've been searching the internet lately. I come across some lovely cups, such as yours (one of which I actually have, near the last of your series of photos).
