~Part 2 of Second Stop Crater Lake Oregon~

Gary and I could not believe our eyes! Mom and Dad had been to Crater Lake and wanted us to experience its beauty. I think our jaws dropped opened, at first I didn't think it was real, really it was so still and calm just the reflection of the sky and clouds could be seen in the water.
What a sight to behold, God had his hands on this one for sure. Some quick history of Crater Lake; The lake was formed approximately 7,700 years ago when a 12,000-foot-tall volcano collaped follwing a major eruption. The lake depth is 1,943 feet and width 4.5 to 6 miles, annual snowfall is 44 feet. Enjoy the pictures and click on them if you like to enlarge.

Back to the car to put our souvenirs away. We all fell in love with Oregon what a beautiful state.
Back on the road again. Next stop Port Angles Washington.

Wow! That is hard to believe. It looks photoshopped because it's just too beautiful! We lived in Eugene,Oregon back in the '80's while my husband was in Grad School. We LOVED our three years there!

Hi again! What beautiful pictures of Crater Lake...so peaceful and serene. We took a snowmobile trip up to the western side during winter two years ago and it was just fantastic. Quite, nobody around but the four of us (we went with friends). Had lunch back at Diamond Lake...was a trip worth taking! You were pretty close to our back yard! Well, have a great week,
