~New Dinning Room Chandelier~

Happy Monday everyone! This Monday I wanted to share with you a gift from Gary to Me for Christmas this year. I have been wanting a new Chandelier for over the dinning room table. The one we had hanging over the table we brought with us from our last home, it was the one in our tea room. Pretty in the tea room but it didn't really work as I had hoped for the new dinning room. Anyway we had been looking for a new Chandelier and finally found "The One" that called out to us and so  Gary gifted me a beautiful Chandelier for Christmas. The designer is Metropolitan Lighting and is from the Sanquesa Collection.

The before Chandelier pretty white and sliver with crystal's hanging down,  but didn't really work in size for the dinning room. If anyone is interested in it and lives in the California Central Valley "Modesto" please contact me.
So now on with Chandelier Show..I really love the color and the glow of the lights on the ceiling.

Close up photo. We purchased the Chandelier from Philips Lighting in Modesto Ca.

I couldn't be happier with this Chandelier, it has added a warm glow over our dinning room table.
So now I have to break it to Gary that I would like to replace the hallway lighting with the same Metropolitan Collection..LOL  Humm our anniversary is coming up..Also I will be on the hunt for a center piece for the dinning room table. I was thinking maybe something like a long basket or hand carved wooden bowl. Any suggestions?.

PS. Thank you girls for all your wonderful suggestions and help with my blog design. I worked on it again all by myself and tried to re-designed it, it was a bit hard and took me a while to figure things out LOL..A computer wiz I am not...LOL
I still would like for a professional to design a new header for me, I just have so many ideas and I'm not sure what to do yet. So stayed tuned and one day when you least expect it "Home is Where the Heart is" will have a new look.

I will be sharing this post with the following girls..

Dearest Elezabeth,

Easy to see why you fell in love with this one. I myself also love the yellowish golden glow at night from our indoor lights. This one fits the bill perfect!
Wishing you a happy week and who knows, a buyer for your previous chandelier.
Love to you,

Mariette

Phillips is like the candy store for lighting! We bought our grandfather clock there. Seriously dangerous place to wander into. Love the lamp.

Beautiful chandelier! Your other one was too! Maybe it could go in an unexpected place like a bedroom, laundry room, bathroom?

Elizabeth and Gary hi! Thanks for dropping by my place earlier today and for your sweet comments! I'm now following you too! Regarding your previous post, what I've done to avoid such mistakes, is that I've created two more blogs, dummy blogs, where I first test everything on them before I do anything stupid in my Stardust. LOL!
Have a nice, hugs Olga

Your new chandelier is GORGEOUS!!! Very gorgeous, in fact.
I love it! I loved the old one, but this one is a whole step above, that is certain. A long basket or dough bowl filled with beautiful things would be nice, yes!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Cindy

Your chandy is very pretty and gives the room a beautiful warm glow. I think that it is sometimes difficult to make a dining room feel cozy but you have done a great job. The entire room is very pretty. I really like the red and white color scheme you have. I'm glad to see your white china cabinet because that gives me courage to paint one in my storage area that I have been hesitating to do. Your room would be perfect to show at my Your Cozy Home Party. I would love it if you could come. I'm sure your room would give lots of viewers good ideas. Details on my blog. Have a great day!--------------Shannon

Dearest Elizabeth,

Thanks for posting my button about the Giovanni Raspini Charm Giveaway on your side bar! Even though the date of February 4 is not visible. You keep your blog 'skinny' it looks like! Preparing for the great summer looks I bet. Don't leave us all behind.
Guess you still are enjoying your chandelier every evening.

Love to you and good luck on winning!

It's easy to see why you love that chandelier. It is a treasure as is Gary to get it for you. I too love the glow it gives your dining room.
Your home is just looking wonderful.
Your blog looks wonderful. I really need to do something with mine too. I did mine by myself when I first started, but I think I need a designer to work with too.

Well, I like all of your red on the sides of the blog and the falling hearts (although movement can distract me!). I agree that the chandie gives a warm glow and that is always so nice! Love the red touches on your chair too, and the white cabinet.

You've done brilliantly with your blog design. I love it! I noticed it as soon as I arrived here and I'm so impressed that you did it yourself!!

Have you tried using Picassa to design your header? That's what I used and it truly wasn't terribly hard once I got my head round it!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I love your blog and have signed up to folow you!
