~OH NO~ I've lost my Background~

Happy New Year everyone!
I have missed you all. More illness in our family so I have not been able to post much.
I just opened my blog to post and saw my background "GONE". It seems others have lost there's too.. Becky, Cindy and Tina just to name a few girls. If anyone can "HELP" please let me know.

Elizabeth, are you getting FREE photobucket? You can upgrade for $25 a year and not have this problem. I did and haven't had the problem. It's just so many more people are using more and more bandwidth and it's costing the servers more money. Also, you can send me the image you have used as your background and I can check to see how "big" it is in terms of internet use. That could be a problem also. Happy to help...

Don't use Photobucket, or IF, only seldom. So sorry, I cannot help you out here.
Hope you get it worked out soon as those blogger problems are so time consuming (!) and aggravating.

Oh I see a sweet polka dot pattern in the background. I think that the Picasa fees are not astronomical. Don't be tempted to eliminate any of your photos! Resize where possible going forward. Hope that folks are on the mend.

yes, i see the problem....and i think it has to do with who designed our blogs. i spoke with sharon at fiberdoodles blog and she has the same prob. now i see your background is back...so how did you do that?

Happy New Year Elizabeth and Gary! Sorry about your problem. I have a photobucket account but don't use it much. I also can see your background, but minus the two pics. Cindy at My Romantic Home was able to get her banner back. You might chat with her. So sorry you are having these frustrations and hope that everyone in your family will be feeling fine this year.

Just thought I'd let you know the problem is with Amber. She no longer designs blogs, no longer communicates with any of her former customers and so, most likely, she let her photobucket account expire.

I know all this because I tried to contact her several months ago for a blog update and she never responded to my emails. When I finally emailed her to say that if she no longer was interested in helping me to simply let me know, she responded tersely that she'd had a personal tragedy. I guess she expected us all to somehow know that. I wished her well - clearly she just can't handle anything right now.

So I took the bull by the horns and redesigned my blog myself because I feared something like this might happen. I'm so glad you were able to recover what you needed! It looks great.
