~From the Heart~

This post is from my heart so please bare with me....
As many of you know my sister passed away this May very unexpectedly. I know each and everyone of you has experienced lose of one  very dear to you, so you will understand that this Christmas is very hard for me and my family.

We are going about life as expected of us, planning holiday dinners, shopping for Christmas gifts for the kids, writing out Christmas cards and listening to Christmas music. But Christmas is just not the same when someone you love and miss dearly is spending Christmas in heaven without you.

As a strong family we will be together getting through our first Christmas without her, like we did Thanksgiving.

I will miss my sister Margo singing Christmas carols and us watching White Christmas together in our pj's eating popcorn and singing along with the song (sister's) we even did the fan dance with much laughter . I have not yet watched White Christmas because I know I will cry my eyes out.. we all have songs that touch our heart about someone we love.

I want you all to know how much your friendship means to me via our blogs.
I pray each and everyone of you will have a Blessed Christmas Season and a
New Year blessed with  health, peace, safe travels and joy in your hearts.

I will be back to posting after the New Year..until then

Feliz Navidad

I understand perfectly, dear Elizabeth. Blessings to you and yours at this time, when wounds are still too fresh. Wishing you all the best for a happy 2013. We all could use it. ((hugs)) xo

It is not easy going on without those who are the dearest on earth to us. Your sister is having a marvelous time in can count on that. And oh how she would want you all to enjoy your lives and since she was a keeper of Christmas, she would certainly expect no less of you than to keep Christmas just as you have been doing. I'd watch that movie...perhaps after the 25th...and have myself a good cry. Sometimes that helps immensely. Love to you, Elizabeth, and all your family as you carry on. (I've been known to describe it as "limping" along.)

It is so sad. I am sorry. It gets a little easier. Just wish we could climb a ladder once in awhile to say hi. Have a peaceful holiday.

Oh my...I feel your pain. My heart goes out to you.

I know how hard it is to lose a sister. My sister, who was 3 years younger than me, passed away in 2000, at the age of 47. It was all too sudden too. We had 3 months from the time of her cancer diagnosis til her funeral.

If there is any way that I can help, besides praying, please let me know. I design and create rosaries and if by chance, you are Catholic and would like one at this time, I am having a Rosary Give-Away on my Blog. Please stop by. I have given away several rosaries already and have just this special one to give away at this time. I know God has selected that person for me - all they need to do is to let me know. I plan to announce the person that will receive the Rosary on Christmas Eve.

Love & Hugs,
Jan ♥

Dearest Elizabeth and Gary,
Yes, I know the feeling... Pieter lost his eldest brother in August and he's now without parents and without siblings (lost two). Living in another continent is also tough for Christmas time, this is the 30th time we celebrate without family. It is too expensive to travel (peak season) and too cold too for risking our health.
But in our heart we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the true reason. Hugs to you both and be strong.

Dear Elizabeth, I well remember the firsts of things when my sister passed 7 yrs ago. It is so hard and yet each year brings more smiles and memories. My daughters gave me an ornament that first Christmas that said, Don't cry for me, I'm spending Christmas with Jesus this year. May peace fill your heart.
Sending hugs to you today.

Hello Elizabeth, I am visiting you today from Jan's blog. Congratulations on being the very fortunate recipient of one of her fabulous rosaries. I too lost two dear cousins recently, one to breast cancer. May you have peace in your heart. Blessings...Lu

I hope you enjoyed your Christmas with family around you. You know your sister would have wanted you to continue on enjoying the seasonal pleasures. I know I would want that if I went on before the rest of my siblings.
Love and hugs, Cindy

My dear friend Elizabeth, I have been so worried about you. No posts and I knew you were having a hard time. Holidays are always so hard when someone you love is not there. Always remember she is very near to you and your family. Angels do watch over us. I know Heavenly Father will comfort and bless you with His peace, the peace that surpasses all others. Hang in there, the sun does shine. May the new year be good to you and your loved ones. Hugs, Karie
