I told all my little pumpkins they must save all the Kit-Cat bars and Almond Joy's for "me"...giggle, giggle
and if they try to eat them their teeth would fall out.......I love all my little pumpkins and want their teeth to stay in so they eat all their broccoli...hehehe XO

~Shampoo Alert~

Shampoo alert!
As I was conditioning my hair in the shower this morning, I took time to read my shampoo bottle.  I am in shock!  The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my entire body says "for extra volume and body"!  Seriously, why have I not noticed this before?  Now I understand why I am so "full-figured"!
Tomorrow I am going to start using "Dawn" dish soap.  It says right on the label "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove."
It pays to read the warning labels, my friends!

Happy Monday!  Love you All!

~With Time~

With time, women gain weight because we accumulate so much
information and wisdom in our heads that
when there is no more room, it distributes out
to the rest of our bodies.
So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy.
Beginning today, when I look at my butt in the mirror I will think,
Good grief, look how smart I am!

Enjoy your weekend, it's the perfect time to celebrate being "You"
Big Hugs~Elizabeth~

~The Ashford Spinning Wheel~

This is the "Ashford Traveller Wheel" and she is so "sweet". I have always wanted to learn how to spin my own yarn, ever since I went to my first "Renaissance Fair" and watched the ladies spinning.
Learning how to spin yarn was on my bucket list, now I can cross it off. Well at least I have the spinning wheel now, I still need to learn "how".
I searched for classes on the net in my home town and low and behold I found one. I am so very excited to start a class and finally learn to spin.

The Ashford Traveller Wheel weighs only 15 pounds so she is easy to carry and transport. I found her for sale at work of all places, a gal at work was moving and she no longer had room for the Ashford, since she had purchased a new wheel. I bought her for only $80.00, new these wheels can run over $400.00.

I even have some practice wool.
And books to read!. I can't wait to get started. Do you spin and if so can you give me any helpful hints? (Oh my, I just noticed that when I snapped this photo the bottom of my pjs were in the way , oh silly me!) Do you take your photos in your pjs too?

~The Little Frog~

Look who was swimming in our pool! and couldn't get out. Mr. Frog had been swimming for hours and had been vigorously trying to jump out.
I knew I just had to help the poor guy, and besides I really didn't want a dead frog to get stuck in the pool filter (Yuck) and so I pushed the pool sweep tubing under him to help free him from the cold water.
Mr. Frog looked so happy, I think he was so tired from all that swimming.
Aww, safely to the ground now. I could see his little heart beating so fast. I said " now hop off and be free little Frog" no more swimming in my pool!
We have had lizards, a garden snake and a mouse in our pool, its really icky but I guess that's just one of the things to look out for when you have a pool.

~It's a "56" CHEVY~

Just look at this "Beauty". A 1956 RED and WHITE Chevy 210 Del-Ray, and she's all Ours. Well O.K. almost. Gary has been shopping for a 1956 in honor of my birth year and just so happens to be his favorite year Chevy.
Gary, Dad and Son n Law took a three and half hour road trip to see this little RED lady on Sunday. The boys fell in love with her and so she will be coming home this coming weekend. She just so "PURRTY". When I turned 16 way back when my dear sweet Grandpa gave me his black and white 1957 Pontiac.. I did not realize what I had and sold her a few years later. I was so sorry I did and ever since then I have wanted a vintage car.
You all know how much I love RED, this is a perfect car for us. Gary can't wait to drive her home and shine her all up.
Looks like we might be going to "Hot August Nights" next year in Reno NV. This is one of the fun car shows to show off your Vintage car, held every year.
Now we have to name her.
Do you have a favorite vintage car?

~ Ricky Nelson ~

What can I say about the boy I was going to marry (when I was 12) I loved him so!. I even wrote him letters. What a silly girl!.
I would receive these post cards in a manila envelope in the mail every time I would write. I have kept them for over 40 years. Of Ricky alone with his guitar I have four.
The family picture I have two.
And of his wife two. O.K. at 12 I didn't know he was married. It crushed my little heart!. Oh to be so young and innocent.
Now as the years went by I had a crush on Donny Osmond. I even saw Marie speak at a meeting once, just hoping to see Donny. But my first crush will always belong to Ricky Nelson.

~ Pot of Roses ~

A few weeks ago both our parents were sick with the flu and cold. So Gary and I went to the store to buy them the ingredient's to get well "home made chicken soup". I prepared the soup and we brought it over for them.
When my Father n law brought the pot back this is what was left inside!. He left the roses by my front door so when I arrived home from work it was waiting for me.
What a sweet and thoughtful gift from my sweet heart of a Father n law.

~ Mickey & Tinker Bell ~

In September we took a family trip to Disneyland in Los Angles for our Granddaughter Aleena's 10th birthday. While shopping down main street of this very magical place Gary spotted a watch shop. Now if you know Gary, you know how he loves his watches.
A Disney artist by the name of Charles Landholm was drawing with water color Mickey. (click to enlarge ). After the painting is complete the picture is then scanned into the computer and made into a watch face. The watch is just beautiful I should have taken a picture to show you, sorry about that. Anyway Gary loves Mickey and just had to have the watch and picture. We were able to take the watch and painting home unframed.
Tinker Bell is my favorite of all, I just love it when she flies across the sky from the castle at Disneyland. As a surprise gift Gary had the artist paint Tinker Bell for me and had a watch made also. So several weeks went by and a box arrived on the front porch addressed to me. Gary said open the box and when I did I saw the most lovely Tinker Bell ever. We had both pictures framed the same so we put them in our dinning room so we could see them everyday.

~ To My Surprize ~

The other day I went to Michale's and purchased this cupcake tree that holds 23 cupcakes, it has a tilt to each holder. As soon as I arrived home I took it out of the box put it together and left if on the kitchen counter. I went about my house hold chores and when I came back into the kitchen Gary had put his fresh picked lemons from the yard and his favorite fruit tangerines all arranged carefully in my cupcake tree. He had the biggest smile on his face, he really thought it was for fruit.
(So Now It Is). I think he has something here.

~ MAMA MIA thats some spicy Salsa ~

WOW WEE! this is the spiciest salsa ever! Gary really went to town on this one. He didn't have a recipe, he made his own recipe up so you just never know what your gonna get! and we got SPICY!!!
Gary's ingredients ~ Onion, lemon, tomatoes, habanero peppers, jalapeno peppers, cilantro, garlic salt and thai peppers. Now I must tell you he did not use all the ingredients he bought, but he did use two habanero peppers!.
Now you might wonder what took the burn out of my mouth well it was ice cream !. Gary still wants to make more salsa. He had a lot of fun creating his mouth watering, burning on fire salsa. Maybe his salsa got so hot becasue he was watching the football game on Sunday when he was creating his receipe. The 49ers did win and Gary is BIG 49er fan. He was a happy Guy.
